Help & FAQ

WakeGlass for Android and iOS

Short answers to the questions people actually write in about. The first three are also inside the app, under About → Help & FAQ, so they work with no connection.

My alarm didn't ring

Android Almost always battery saving. Many phones pause background apps, which delays or silences an alarm. Two settings prevent it: allow exact alarms, and exclude WakeGlass from battery optimization. Both are in the welcome tour, which you can replay from About. Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus and Oppo are the usual offenders and often have a second, separate "protected apps" or "auto-start" list worth checking too.

iOS Open the ring log (⋯ → Ring log). Every alarm that rang, snoozed or was stopped is listed with its time. If yours isn't there, it never rang — check the alarm is switched on, and that WakeGlass is allowed to schedule alarms in the phone's settings.

On both platforms WakeGlass rings through silent mode and Do Not Disturb / Focus without you having to allow anything.

How do I stop or skip an alarm?

While it rings, tap Stop on the ring screen, which appears over the lock screen. Snooze delays it by that alarm's snooze time.

To drop a single morning without deleting a repeating alarm, tap Skip next on the alarm in the list. It rings again as normal the time after, and the skip clears itself once it has passed.

Android A dismiss challenge (Pro) can require a sum, some typing or a shake before the alarm will stop.

I bought Pro and it's gone

Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is nothing to cancel and nothing that expires.

Android It belongs to your Google account and comes back on its own the first time you open WakeGlass while online. Make sure the phone is signed in to the same Google account you bought it with.

iOS It belongs to your Apple Account. Open ⋯ → Theme → WakeGlass Pro and tap Restore purchases while online, signed in with the account you bought it with.

What does Pro include?

Premium theme packs, custom-hue and solid color modes, more sleep sounds, 25 more alarm tones in five packs, importing your own alarm tones and gradual volume (both free on Android), wake aids, days off, four more app icons, the 4-7-8 and Box breathing patterns, wake statistics, and saving interval workouts and Focus setups.

Android Android additionally has dismiss challenges, sunrise wake, and advanced scheduling. iOS does not have these — the alarm there is handled by Apple's own alarm system, which owns the ring screen.

Can I change the app's language?

Android Yes — ⋯ → Your data → Language, without changing your phone's language.

iOS WakeGlass follows your phone's language. iOS puts a per-app language setting in Settings → Apps → WakeGlass when more than one applies, but many phones never show that screen, so the app does not link to it.

Does it work offline?

Always. WakeGlass's own code contains no network code — it sends and fetches nothing. Alarms, timers, sounds and themes are entirely on your device. The only things that need a connection are the Pro purchase and this page.

Moving to a new phone

⋯ → Your data → Export data writes a single JSON file with your alarms, timers, presets and settings. Import it on the new phone. The file never contains your Pro purchase — that comes back through your store account instead.

Still stuck?

Write to hi@wakeglass.com. It reaches one person, not a queue. If an alarm failed, saying which phone and which Android or iOS version helps more than anything else.
